Hospice of Marion County

About Us

Since 1983, Hospice of Marion County has walked alongside patients and families during life’s most tender moments, providing expert, compassionate care wherever they call home. With a deeply holistic approach, HMC tends not only to physical needs, but also to the emotional, spiritual, and practical concerns of both patients and the loved ones who care for them.

Our Story

Marion County’s Hometown Hospice Since 1983

For over 40 years, Hospice of Marion County (HMC) has been a trusted presence in the community, offering expert and compassionate care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Whether at home, in an assisted living facility, a nursing home, or one of our three peaceful Hospice Houses, we walk beside our patients with dignity, respect, and heartfelt support.

As an affiliate of Empath Health, HMC is part of one of the nation’s largest non-profit networks providing integrated care across Florida. Through this partnership, we can expand our reach and deepen our impact, having served over 26,000 individuals through hospice care, home health, elder services, and more.

“Thank you, Hospice of Marion County, for the wonderful care my husband received. Our RN and Social Worker were so very caring, kind, and supportive. We truly appreciate all you did to support me and our family in caring for him. His passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren.”

Sincerely, Julie
